FAQ
Do I need to install anything?
Only the driver, and only to connect real hardware. The application runs in the browser. Without a driver it works in simulator mode.
Which operating systems are supported?
The app runs in a web browser on Windows, macOS and Linux. The driver is available for the same systems.
Can I work offline?
Yes. The app is a single self-contained file — save it and open it in a browser on an isolated machine. The internet is only needed for updates and the code database.
Does it work with any vendor's module?
CodingBox handles transceivers regardless of maker, across form factors from GBIC to OSFP, using standards-based decoding (SFF-8472, SFF-8636, CMIS and more).
Do I need an account?
Not to read modules. An account carries a subscription and its seats across your devices.
How many devices can I use?
As many as your subscription has seats — one seat per device. See Subscriptions & seats.
