EEPROM editor

The Editor presents a transceiver's memory as a HEX and ASCII grid so you can inspect and change it precisely.

Layout

  • HEX and ASCII grid — every byte shown in both forms side by side.
  • A tab per page — module memory pages are opened as separate tabs.
  • Byte hints — hover a byte to see its address, its value in several number

systems, the field name and the applicable specification (SFF-8472, SFF-8636, CMIS, and the SFF-8024 tables).

Editing safely

  • Undo and redo for every change.
  • Checksum recalculation — CC_BASE and CC_EXT are recomputed as needed.
  • Page lock guards a page against accidental edits.
  • Load and save dumps as files, so you can keep a copy before and after.

Editing changes the working copy in the app. Writing those changes to a physical module is a separate step — see Writing a module.
