Simulator mode

When no driver or board is attached, the online application runs in simulator mode. It provides a sample module so every screen is usable without hardware.

Why it exists

  • Learn the interface — explore Check, DDM, Editor and Database before you have a

programmer.

  • Try it online — the public live demo opens directly in simulator mode.
  • No risk — nothing is written to a real module; the data is representative sample data.

What works and what doesn't

FeatureSimulator
Reading identity and DDMYes (sample data)
Browsing the editor and pagesYes
Writing to a physical moduleNo — needs a board

Switching to real hardware

Install the driver, connect a board and pick it in the connection selector. The app leaves simulator mode as soon as a real link is available.
